The story behind Murmira

No single bird
is the pattern.

The shape emerges from the relationships.

Individual gold and blue marks gathering into a flowing flock.

A name. A way of seeing.

Many movements.
Something larger.

Watch a murmuration. Individual birds turn, respond, and move together. A flowing shape appears—something you could never understand by watching just one bird.

Murmira takes its inspiration from that moment. We believe information holds greater possibility when we look beyond individual signals to the relationships between them.

That belief shapes the company we are building.

Where AI comes in

Make room for the
unexpected connection.

Our approach starts with a question and the information available to answer it. AI helps compare observations, identify recurring themes, and suggest relationships that merit investigation.

A useful interpretation should lead back to its evidence. We consider alternative explanations, flag what remains uncertain, and let people decide what to investigate or try next. These principles guide the products we are developing.

What guides us

Curiosity, with direction.

Start with understanding.

Know the business, the people, and the question before proposing the answer. Context makes intelligence useful.

Look between the obvious.

A signal may be small without being insignificant. Explore how details relate before deciding what they mean.

Keep possibility open.

AI can surface a direction we have not considered. Make room for discovery while checking assumptions against evidence.

The people behind Murmira

Different experience.
A shared way forward.

Dustin Harris

Co-founder

Dustin brings together creative direction, brand strategy, and the experience of building a business. Over more than 18 years developing Eight Legged Media, he has explored how a deeper understanding of audiences can lead to more effective communication and new tools for growth.

His creative process starts with understanding what makes a brand itself, then pushing its expression beyond the familiar. At Murmira, that perspective connects the company’s central idea to the products and experiences it creates: notice the details, understand the relationships, and imagine what they could become.

David Grooms

Co-founder

David has been building AI platforms since the late 1990s, bringing a long view of artificial intelligence to the practical work of creating systems people can use. His background spans platform architecture, data infrastructure, identity resolution, and engineering across interconnected information sources.

He brings a systems perspective to Murmira: how information is structured, how the pieces connect, and how an idea becomes a working platform. That experience grounds the company’s ambition in the technical foundations needed to put intelligence to work.

Aaron Buratti

Co-founder

Aaron is a full-stack software developer whose experience includes Eight Legged Media and web and software development for public media at Indiana University. His background connects the engineering behind a digital product with the interface through which people experience it.

He brings that breadth to Murmira’s founding team, complementing its creative, commercial, and AI-platform experience with hands-on software development.

Peter Moskowitz

Co-founder

Peter’s background spans enterprise software, sales leadership, business development, and marketing. His experience includes SAP, building customer-focused sales relationships, and work in audience intelligence through DataKindness.

His perspective starts with the people behind the activity: who is paying attention, what they need, and how a business can turn that understanding into a useful conversation. At Murmira, he brings a commercial lens to the connections between information, customer needs, and opportunities for growth.
